I pray for hope
Against helplessness
Not for futile desires
Not for wasted days and time.
I pray for power against hopelessness.
I look within for strength
Not to beat others down
Not to overwhelm the world but to rise above myself.
I look deeply into others and myself for both the answers and the questions.
